Composer-songwriter Christopher Valauri has worked outside of the public eye for many years to create his timeless sound, which integrates classical and modern music in a genre-defying range of instrumental and popular styles. His debut release, the double single Compass Rose / Fleur-de-Lys (September 2024), features chamber music and minimalist piano with a bright, nostalgic theme that connects the moods of past eras to contemporary composition. To accompany this recording, a music video has been released for the piece Fleur-de-Lys (Where the Winds Meet) with footage from the streets of 1920’s Paris. It is joined on this release by two renditions of its delicate counterpart, Compass Rose, which contains the same musical theme. Together these 3 tracks are presented as draft versions from an upcoming album currently in the works.
